The last student filed out of the lecture hall, the heavy wooden doors closing with a soft thud that echoed through the now empty space. The overhead lights dimmed automatically, leaving only the soft glow of the emergency exit signs and the warm amber light from the stage lamps.
Kabir stood at the podium for a moment, eyes locked on Amber in the front row. The class had been intense. He had spoken for nearly two hours on the psychology of the leash, and throughout it all Amber had sat there, flushed and trembling, her thighs pressed tightly together.
